To strengthen the exchange between international researchers and artists from diverse academic and artistic disciplines, Circus | Studies is fundamentally engaged in the (co-) organization of conferences. All conferences take place in collaboration with partners from circus practice, be it companies, artists, or venues. The conferences at the Universität Münster, for example, were hosted in a circus tent that was placed in front of the main university building, thus emphasizing spatially the interdependence of practice and reflection.
