As a collaboration between circus arts resource centers and researchers, CARP maintains an updated bibliography of academic publication related to circus studies. Furthermore, it lists the universities and research institutions with circus-related research programs or research chairs, archives, libraries, and significant collections.

CARP was initiated in 2017 at UpSideDown. Circus and Space Conference at the Universität Münster.
